‘We certainly understand and share the community’s concern,’ Niagara police say a week after woman found dead at home in Smithville

“At this time, no arrests have been made. This is not believed to be a random act of violence,” police said in a news release Thursday, May 2.

“We certainly understand and share the community’s concern. Our homicide detectives are working to identify the person responsible while ensuring that the integrity of the investigation is not compromised.”

Niagara police said officers are continuing to speak with area residents as part of the investigation.
