“Hamilton Health Sciences received a request from the mayors of the three municipalities of west Niagara to consider the renaming of West Lincoln Memorial Hospital to West Niagara Memorial Hospital,” Stewart said.
“The proposed name would more accurately reflect the location of the hospital site and the geographic region it now serves. We are assessing this proposal carefully and working with the municipalities to undertake public consultation, which is aligned with the Ministry of Health’s guidance regarding hospital name changes, to help us better understand the perspective of the communities we serve.”
