Theatre Burlington is nominated for 10 Western Ontario Drama League awards for its February 2024 production of Edward Albee’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”
Awards for the 2023-24 season will be presented Saturday, May 18 at the WODL Festival in London, Ontario.
Last season, Theatre Burlington’s production of “My Old Lady” was nominated for Best Visual Production, Outstanding Sound Design and Execution, and Outstanding Lighting Design and Execution. Brian Nettleford took home the prize for sound design.

Theatre Burlington’s Kathy Hyde-Nagel said the organization has been an active participant in WODL festivals for more than 40 years.
In 2019, Theatre Burlington’s production of “Stranger Among Us” received 13 award nominations, winning outstanding performance by an actress in a lead role (Virginia McEwen), outstanding direction (Maureen Dwyer) and best production of a Canadian play.
The nominations for “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” are:

Theatre Burlington’s current show “The Sweet Delilah Swim Club” finishes its run this weekend with scheduled performances on Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
On Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29 Theatre Burlington presents its first “Short Play Festival” with performances of eight short plays of about 10 minutes each, written, directed and acted by local playwrights, directors and actors.
