Parade, volunteers, vendors and food trucks wanted for Canada Day in Caledonia

Planning is now underway for this year’s event on Monday, July 1.

In addition to parade entries, the Caledonia Regional Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers, vendors and food truck applications. Details are available at caledonia-chamber.com.

Businesses and community groups can contact the chamber to join this year’s parade. The event begins at 10 a.m., with staging from 8 to 9 a.m. at Nicholson & Cates Ltd., at the corner of Argyle Street North and Alabastine Street. The parade travels along Argyle Street North and Alabastine, across the bridge and up Argyle South to McKinnon Park Secondary School on Haddington Street.

Parade applications are also available by request from the Caledonia BIA.

Caledonia’s Canada Day festivities also include a breakfast by the local Knights of Columbus, family entertainment at Caledonia Kinsmen Park and the annual Steven Young Trust Fund Duck Race.
