Hamilton police say they’ve arrested a fourth person in connection with a break and enter at a Stoney Creek car wash that injured a witness and caused significant damage last year.
Officers responded to MJ’s EZEE Clean car wash near Highway 8 and Green Road following reports that a large commercial vehicle crashed into the building at 264 Highway 8 just after 7 a.m. on Feb. 5, 2023.
Before fleeing the scene in a dark-coloured, two-door Chevrolet Silverado getaway truck, police allege the suspects spotted, chased and deliberately struck a 43-year-old man who witnessed their break-in attempt, which caused more than $1 million in damage.

A 49-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, the “fourth and final party to this offence,” police said in a release.
He is facing several charges, including two counts of break and enter over $5,000, two counts of possessing property obtained by crime and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Three more people were charged in connection with the break-in in 2023, two of whom have since pleaded guilty, according to police.
