Lincoln council cost nearly $274,000 last year

Her base salary was $42,931 plus $13,877 claimed for mileage, conferences, courses, seminars, cellphone use and other expenses pertaining to her public duties.

Lincoln’s eight councillors together garnered more than $217,000 including individual base pay of $21,518.

Ward 2 Coun. John Pachereva was the top claimant for milage, conferences and other expenses at $7,131, while Ward 3 Coun. Anna Murre and Ward 2 Coun. Tony Brunet were next at $6,876 and $6,283, respectively.

Councillors also receive, on average, an $83 monthly computer allowance and are eligible for $50 for each local board meeting they attend.

“We keep the well-being and prosperity of Lincoln taxpayers top of mind and lean on our strategic priorities as a guidepost for all the work we do to make Lincoln an exceptional community,” Easton said.

Seven members of Lincoln’s committee of adjustment were paid more than $5,200 last year including expenses.
