An article about rural schools in the March 4, 2010 issue of the Review contained incorrect information.
The fee schedule for community use of schools, where caretakers’ hours have been cut back, will be reviewed with the objective of providing the schools at no cost to students and parents for school events, such as school council meetings and parent/teacher interviews. For-profit organizations will be charged the highest rate.
Also, it should be noted that the EQAO scores for the HWDSB rural schools are above the board and provincial averages. The Review apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the errors.
