Look closely and you’ll learn that Miley Cyrus’ (who is nominated for best Pop Solo performance for her hit “Flowers”) outfit is made almost entirely from gold safety pins, as dreamed up by Maison Margiela. It’s a fashion house that hardly needs more press after catapulting to viral fame at haute couture week in Paris, thanks in part to the show’s surreal, porcelain-doll-like makeup by legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath.
