JARDIN, LYMAN (LEN) It is with great sadness that the Jardin Family announces the sudden, but peaceful passing of their beloved husband and father on Saturday, December 20th, in his residence in Waterloo. Len is survived by the love of his life for 71 years, Elsie, his 5 children: Alan (Michelle) Jardin of Waterloo, Nancy (Gerry) Caron of Sudbury, Donna (Hugh) MacLachlan of Oshawa, Diane (Rick) Bryant of Bowmanville, and Kathryn (Bill) Boxall of Milton. Len is also survived by his adored 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and by four sisters: Nora Walker, Shirley Seaward, Lois (Alan) Tomlinson, and Ruth Waites. He is also survived by Ruth Jardin, wife of his deceased brother, Tom. Predeceased by infant daughter Carol Ann, his siblings Gracia Christian, Tom Jardin, Frank Jardin, Audrey Parsons, Archie Jardin, Doris Merwin and Bill Jardin. Len was a very kind, compassionate and loving man who had a deep appreciation for nature and music and a wonderful sense of humour. He absolutely adored children and was the best husband, father, grandfather and great grand- father anyone could have. Len, Dad, Grandpa, we will miss you and we love you very much. Since immigrating to Canada, Maisie was a long-serving and respected employee of Ford Canada Central Office in Oakville until retirement. Following her wishes, there will be no service. ZABEL, Rudy- Suddenly and very sadly, RUDY ZABEL passed away on Boxing Day, December 26, 2008. He was 80 years old. Rudy is survived by his wife Joyce, his two sons Graham and Cameron, and four Grandchildren Ella, Tyler, Matthew and Zachary. In April this year Rudy and Joyce had a joyful celebration of their 50 years of marriage, joined by many friends and family members. He was well respected throughout the community, having worked 17 years as a teacher and dean of Sheridan College in Oakville followed by 23 years as a master salesman at Erin Dodge Chrysler in Mississauga. He will be greatly missed. A memorial will be held at his regular church The Meeting House in Oakville on Friday January 2nd at 2pm.
