New Indian Grocers location opens in Waterdown

Partner Boby Thomas said the Waterdown shop joins a flagship store in Burlington that opened 16 years ago under different ownership and has been run by his family for the past four years.

“We just give a chance to explore a different culture to local people and other people,” he said, noting ready-to-go samosas are a favourite at the Burlington store. “We have a lot of lifelong customers and other customers who want to try something new.”

Open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, the shop offers an array of fresh produce, staples, rice, flours, dals, spices, snacks, frozen treats, samosas, sweets, and takeout foods.

Thomas said Indian Grocers plans to add a third shop in Niagara Falls.
