Ward 15 Councillor Margaret McCarthy’s voting record since 1994 shows that she has consistently opposed amalgamation. In March of 2000, she seconded a motion to exclude the Town of Flamborough “from the New City of Hamilton and provide for the adjoining of the Town to the County of Brant, and the Regions of Halton and Waterloo...” The Review regrets any confusion this may have caused.
